About Denise

I set up Imrama Space in 2020 to provide soul space creation services.

From 2021, I hibernated in the the deepest bottom of my own space after the arrival of my daughter. I questioned, how I could claim to be a soul space creator when I felt so unease, so restless, so not aligned?

Raised in Hong Kong, a melting pot of Chinese and Western culture, I’ve always been fascinated by the concept of journey and home. Since a young age, I knew deep down that there is a sacred purpose for all of us, and it has taken me quite a journey to discover where my soul purpose is.

The minute that I first entered my previous employer, Ellermann Interiors studio, I felt a strong sense of belonging, as if I was finally home. While working on international projects, ranging from from international chained hotels, commercial showroom to residential projects, I’ve discovered my passion for Interior Design. I came to appreciate the significance of creating a nurturing, nourishing space where we can all freely interact with.

While medical assistance was sought during my struggle with bipolar disorder, my heart knew that I have some wounds that require alternative forms of healing. I am not able to pinpoint the exact moment of spiritual awakening, but during the years of mental illness, I could feel that the universe is weaving me home in her mysterious ways, healing me through retreats, life coaching lessons I took, Oracle Cards, prayers, devotional meditation practice, different well-designed nurturing spaces, as well as feng shui.

Although always fascinated by the power of feng shui, I first experienced its potency when a feng shui master provided suggestions to enhance the vibrations of my home back in Hong Kong. The Feng Shui-ed home brings me a much better health, more harmonious relationships with her family, and most importantly clarity in her direction in life. Coupled with all the spiritual trainings I undertook, I gained clarity in my life. In that space, I felt the deepest calling to move to the beautiful city of Edinburgh.

After I moved to Edinburgh, I crafted my soul space, a sanctuary which constantly inspires, soothes, and provides me the emotional and physical support I so often crave. I used meditations and other exercise to visualise how the space look, how my life will be when the place is finished, then I employed my interior styling skills to make it happen. When it’s completed, I feel uplifted, inspired, encouraged. I feel it’s the space that I can thrive in - since then I’ve heard the call from the Divine to start my business, received training in Feng Shui, married to the love of my life, settling happily in Edinburgh, feeling more aligned to my purpose as a soul space creator than ever. I feel that I’m home - not only the physical sense, but also the spiritual sense. I’m at my soul home.

About Imrama Space

Just as space holds energy, my soul space business also holds its own fascinating energy. When I first started running an interior design studio, named Tendresse Design, I did not feel aligned. While I have no doubt I could create beautiful interiors that provide my clients nourishment, I felt a disconnection between my brand and I. I rebranded it to Soulful Interiors in April 2020, thinking that it encapsulates my ethos and my soulful way of running a business perfectly, yet there was still something missing.

Although I recognised my power in seeing the energy of spaces, I feared stepping up and used tools such as feng shui, meditation, visualisation, oracle cards, despite a firm knowledge that they are very effective tools in raising vibrations of a home. The fear of showing up authentically crippled me. It was as if Universe wanted me to rise as a lightworker, she challenged me by telling me to rebrand, in a way that I could not refuse.

Imrama Space, meaning Journey in Celtic, tells a tale of my own journey back to my soul home, after raising my space and my own vibration with interior design, feng shui and other spiritual tools. Without going through this journey, albeit a painful, long one, I would not be able to serve my clients as a soul space creator. After receiving the gift of the word Imrama, I vow to rise up and serve those who’d like to weave their way back to their soul, using my experiences, my skills and trainings.

You can travel back to your soul home with your physical home. I look forward to support you, guide you, help you to create your soul space. Your life will change when you raise your home’s vibration.
